Quiz the one hundred-and-tenth: A game of chess (Part two)

The last time I had a chess quiz I confessed that I was a lousy chess player. Since then I’ve been playing a lot of chess online. I haven’t gotten any better. I’m still a lousy chess player. I’m much better at quizzes.

I thought The Thing and 2001 were gimmes. Who can forget Russell pouring his drink into the computer? But good catch for His Kind of Woman! I didn’t see anyone getting that.

“Cheatin’ bitch!” says MacReady. Thing screenwriter Bill Lancaster (Burt’s son) has one of the most understated bios on all of IMDb:
Bill was known by his friends as “Billy”, when he was a youth. He attended “public” school, as many actor’s sons and daughters did in the 1960s. He was never athletic since he was stricken with a childhood disease. He was well liked at Emerson Junior High School in West Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Emerson in June 1962. He was known as a friend to everyone, rich or not. After Emerson, he went on to University High School in Los Angeles.
